26th February 2019 - Following the iconic success of Book II: Jekyll’s Hyde Men’s, Gnome & Bow debuts a full women’s bag collection that explores ideas of duality, change and acceptance revolving women of today. It  showcases the two contending faces of human nature: the rational, reserved side versus the wilder, more spontaneous inner self. Aptly, all bags in the collection are reversible, specially designed to cater to one’s two-sided lifestyle. The question is “Which side will prevail?”

One side features a classic and lustrous nylon which speaks of a distinguished Dr. Jekyll. When flipped, the bags reveal a matte custom printed cotton canvas, each motif testament to the unconventional ways of Mr. Hyde. Both characters spar with their other selves via a message that is UV-printed on the inner base of the bag, a constant hint at the fine line that one might thread between the two contradicting personalities.

A new leather tag, called the Bookmark Tag, is included with all the larger bags. They look like what they are named after, playing to the tune of their storytelling design ethos. These also serve as the perfect canvas to get your bag personalised.

This is by far the lightest range of bags offered by Gnome & Bow – each weighs less than 500 grams. Feminine styles like the Chelsea tote and Covent handbag are a new and exciting addition to their previously androgynous offerings. The Milton family of briefcases and crossbody clutches flip to reveal a contrasting look in a snap.

The collection is presented in 4 colourways:  Black/Olive,  Blue/Olive, Blue/Khaki and Wine/Olive. Both the nylon exterior and canvas interior are water-resistant. Upholding their promise for quality since they started, Gnome & Bow only uses the most premium YKK Japan Excella range of metal zippers and USA full-grain leather in all their products.

The collection is once again designed to showcase Gnome & Bow’s pursuit for classic, elegant aesthetics whilst embracing the art of storytelling. Whichever side or colour you choose, you will inevitably discover an innate duality. So in this moment, are you Jekyll or are you Hyde?
