A showdown is happening this season: The battle between the two evils, The Vengeful Vampires and The Ghastly Ghosts.
The night has fallen and the day has arrived. In the left corner, weighing in at 185 pounds and towering at 6.5 feet we have The Vengeful Vampires.
Vampires are mortals with a lifespan of up to 1000 years. They have abilities such as being able to turn themselves into bats, telepathy and telekinesis.
Vampires have an enormous strength that allows them to pound boulders to dust with ease or rip apart steel walls. They are also able to easily lift and toss a fully grown human like a rag doll. By feasting on human flesh and blood, vampires have the ability to infect a human and turn them into the undead. Other powers include turning into mist, hypnosis and controlling the natural elements such as the weather.
From the movie, Dracula, a Gothic horror novel, written by Irish author, Bram Stoker, in 1897. It introduced Count Dracula, and established many conventions of subsequent vampire fantasy.
Having said that, vampires have their weaknesses as well. They are extremely vulnerable to the sun which can cause them to burn horrifically. Often referred to as soulless, vampires are also not able to set foot on the holy ground and are vulnerable to crosses, crucifixes and holy water which can cause an excruciating pain to them. Others include certain herbs such as vervain, garlic and silver. In order to kill vampires, one would either need to stick a good old wooden stick through the vampire’s heart or behead them. Fire can also reduce vampires to cinders.
And in the right corner, weighing in at close to nothing and assuming an erratic form, we have The Ghastly Ghosts.
Ghosts are a spirit of the deceased looking for vengeance. They are intangible, invisible and have no physical body. Due to that, they do not have any restrictions meaning they are able to travel freely through doorways, walls and basically anywhere they like without being sensed or seen. This also means that they are able to phase their hands through people and cause internal injuries or stop the heart.
Ghost from A Christmas Carol, a fantasy film written and directed by Robert Zemeckis and an adaptation of Charles Dickens story of the same name, A Christmas Carol.
A ghost’s primary power is their connection to the supernatural realm. Although they are not able to physically harm others like vampires, they can still wreak havoc on the mental state of the victim. Just like vampires, ghosts possess powers such as teleportation, telekinesis, enormous strength and environment manipulation. Besides that, they also possess powers such as photokinesis which allows them to produce and manipulate light as well as pyrokinesis ability that allows them to manipulate and control fire.
However, ghosts are vulnerable to salt and iron which can cause them to dissipate. Hoodoo can also be used to stop and keep ghosts under control. To defeat a ghost, salting and burning the bones of the ghosts can put them to rest. Alternatively, salting and burning the object the ghost is using to stay in the world will also put a ghost to rest.
We’ve given you the rundown on both the supernatural beings. Now, it is up to you to vote who will be the ultimate victor in a fight to the finish. #vampirevsghost.
ps: cast wisely or risk being cast away…
