13 years ago, Gnome & Bow didn't set out to build a luxury brand. We set out to prove that professional and personality were never supposed to be two different people — and that both could exist in one bag.

Not every year on the record was a win. Some were the ones we learned the most from.

OCT 2013: Gnome & Bow was born

Performance or personality?  Why not both?

Founder Quanda Ong was frustrated with choosing between boring, practical work bags and beautiful ones that contain a black hole — so he left his private banking job to design one that didn't ask him to choose.

 

 

APR 2014: Gnome & Bow became reality

Our dream came true

38 days. 229 supporters. $37,561 raised via our crowdfunding project materialised Gnome & Bow.

Who will win the race?

A bag and wallet collection that became a true original, combining practical features with storytelling details, where the animal zipper tabs race from start to finish line.

 

 

DEC 2014: Tiger Beer Collaboration

Uncaged

Working with Tiger truly opened our doors to the masses and helped break boundaries for Tiger, bringing on the X-factor to attract a new age audience for both brands. Our cardholder with the singnature Tiger orange handstitch, marked the fusion of two worlds.

A reversible bag collection well loved for clever storytelling meets versatile design. One bag, Two sides - one classic, one wild. Engravings at the bottom of the bag speak the inner voice of Jekyll & Hyde.

Inspired by the Roman Emperor

Our flair for storytelling brought to life the inspiration and essence of the magazine in a 5 piece wallet collection, one worthy to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of AUGUSTMAN.

Following the sell out of our first run, this collection was modernised for a crisp silhouette and refined colours, while maintaining our playful signature racing details - animal zipper tabs race from start to finish line.

 

 

JAN 2018: Musketeer Collection I

All for one, one for all

Inspired by Alexander Dumas' most notable work, "The 4th Musketeer”, tells the tale of a band of individuals who unite to achieve their goals. Each leather bag and wallet is engraved with “Tous por un, un por tous”

 

 

APR 2018: Zzuma Collaboration

Inspired by and designed for fencers

Our signature design language of rich leather accents, paired with contrast hand stitch pops of colour gave the 3 piece bag collection that fencer finesse, worthy of elite fencers worldwide that Zzuma serves.

 

 

OCT 2018: Jekyll & Hyde Collection II

Embrace duality again

Following the sell out of our first run, this collection was modernised with more colours and streamlined for women, while maintaining our signature reversibility and hidden quotes at the bottom of the bag.

 

 

APR 2019: Gulliver Collection

Small yet mighty

In line with the latest RFID technology, our new wallet collection protects against credit card fraud and identity theft, a serious upgrade for leather wallet lovers. This collection includes bifold wallets, passport holders and cardholders for men and women.

 

 

JUL 2019: Musketeer Collection II

A modern musketeer is born

Following the sell out of our first run, this collection was reimagined with 5 new colours and gold hardware for women, while maintaining our signature Dryna and Athos designs, engraving of “Tous por un, un por tous”. This collection includes work laptop backpacks and travel backpacks.

 

 

OCT 2019: Millenia Walk Store Opens

Our first retail store opens and closes in 6 months

After countless popups, we finally felt we were ready for our own retail store. We signed a 6 months lease. The learning curve was steep. Luckily for us, we managed to close the store just before COVID circuit breaker.

 

 

APR 2021: Covid

We did everything we could to survive

Covid changed EVERYTHING. So we had to be nimble, streamline operations, did many 6 hour live streams and figure out the next steps for Gnome & Bow. We invested deeper online. SURVIVE WE DID.
