The AVGVSTVS leather wallet collection commemorates August Man's 10th anniversary and the name that it's associated with, demonstrated with a specially designed logo that recalls the grand Roman Senate with the Roman numeral 'X'.
August Man is a definitive men's style journal packed with features read by the globe-trotting, cosmopolitan man who covets success and the finer things in life.
WHO WAS AUGUSTUS?
The word 'august', along with its calendar reference stems from the name of the first Roman emperor. Augustus Caesar was First Citizen of the State and the man who established the Roman Peace.
A KIND RULER
Though all power resided in him, Augustus was careful in the use of his might. He took charge of the Senate but consulted them on matters of state and established the constitution to ensure fair rule. He was wise to focus on civil security though he wielded the military.
HIS SUPPORTERS
No ruler can do it alone. Augustus Caesar had the support of his wife, Livia, his military advisor Agrippa, his political advisor Maecenas and his co-consul Piso, who later also managed his finances.
